NYC Summer Spots To Explore

There’s always so much to do in NYC, and now that the city is finally beginning to recover from the pandemic, now more than ever should we take advantage of what the city has to offer! Check out this mix of outdoor and indoor activities, there’s bound to be something you’ve never tried before!

1. Little Island

Little Island is a public park on top of the water right across from Pier 55. Tickets are free, but make sure you book ahead online if you’re visiting after 12 pm to have a reservation. On Little Island, you can grab a bite to eat, discover new artists, and just take time to explore!

2. The GREEN at Lincoln Center

Looking to spend the afternoon relaxing outside? Check out the GREEN at Lincoln Center! This area is basically just a massive lawn for summer, but where else can you find something like this in the city? Also, make sure to check out the pride steps during June!

3. Yankees Games

Take me out to the ball game! But before you go, make sure to be vaccinated (and keep photo proof of your card on your phone) or get tested. If you’re doing a PCR test, it must be negative within 72 hours of the start of the game. If you’re doing a rapid test, it must be negative within 6 hours of the start of the game. Play ball!

4. Harry Potter Store

Do I have any Harry Potter fans out there? If so, check out the new Harry Potter flagship store! Perfect chance to spend an afternoon browsing around on a super-hot or rainy day!

5. Coney Island

Every summer requires at least one Amusement Park day, so why not head over to Coney Island? Luna Park is perfect for the Amusement Park day, but if you’re not so much into rollercoasters, check out the different food stands, shops, and games! There’s also plenty of rides that aren’t so frightening, which will definitely be the ones you see me on!

6. Game of 1000 Boxes

Not every summer day needs to be spent outdoors, especially when the rain comes. When you’re looking to spend a day inside, check out the Game of 1000 Boxes. This part-game show, part-audio-visual thrill ride is bound to keep you excited throughout your journey. These tickets are a little more on the expensive side, so make sure to make the time worth your while!
